988 Mental Health Lifeline (Call or Text 988)

988 offers 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. That could be:

  • Thoughts of suicide
  • Mental health or substance use crisis, or
  • Any other kind of emotion distress

People can call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org for themselves or if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.


988 serves as a universal entry point so that no matter where you live in the United States, you can reach a trained crisis counselor who can help.

2-1-1 Oklahoma (Dial 211 or text 211OK to 898211)

2-1-1 Oklahoma offers information and referral across the spectrum of human need, including but not limited to rental assistance, food pantries, affordable housing, health resources, child care, after-school programs, caregiver support, financial programs, literacy, and job programs.

Reachout Hotline (1-800-522-9054)

24-hour hotline for information or referrals regarding mental health and substance abuse issues.

SafeLine (1-800-522-7233)

Hotline for domestic violence or sexual assault. Provides assistance with safety planning, crisis intervention, emergency shelter and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking.

National Suicide Hotlines (1-800-273-TALK)

24-hour toll-free help for anyone contemplating suicide.

The Youth Crisis and Runaway Hotline (1-800-448-4663)

Crisis hotline that offers information and referral for runaways and youth in crisis.

NorthCare Crisis Intervention Services (405-858-2700)

Offers Mobile Crisis Response Teams that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide assistance for mental health and substance abuse crisis through telephone or face-to-face assessments. Services are designed to de-escalate the crisis situation and prevent possible inpatient hospitalization, detention, and/or homelessness.

Children's Crisis Center: Red Rock (405-425-0333)

Available to assist children in need of crisis intervention and stabilization for trauma, emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse issues. Services are provided in a secure residential setting for up to five days, if needed.

Abuse Hotline (1-800-522-3511)

Oklahoma statewide abuse hotline for vulnerable adults that may be the victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation.
